DC Vacation

The Hubby had a seminar/training to attend in Baltimore, MD. His colleague was taking his wife and making a vacation out of it, so we decided to do the same! We spent 2 days in Baltimore and 2 days in DC. In Baltimore we visited Fort McHenry and the inner harbor.

In DC, we just walked and saw as much as we could. We had both been there before, so we wanted to spend LOTS of time in the Smithsonian museums, which we did. We visited the National Archives first, then the Natural History Museum, the Air and Space Museum, and the American History Museum. So much knowledge out there!

We took a night tour of DC which was fabulous. We was all of the main monuments and even saw a few we hadn't seen before. It was definitely worth our time and money.

We also took a tour of the White House which neither of us had done before. And other than that, we just did a lot of walking. It was a really great vacation and I am glad we got to go without kids. Washington DC is a great place to visit.

Want to know something sad? I never saw the Washington Monument all lit up at night. With little kids we just never made it there at night. We loved Fort McHenry and spend many at Saturday picnicking at the park above the Inner Harbor, though. I love your pictures!
