We had a nice experience on Thanksgiving. That morning was the homecoming of a soldier returning from Afghanistan. I visit teach his wife, and she invited as many people as possible to be there to welcome him home at the airport. It definitely reminded me what I can be grateful for. And it was a good experience for Scamper to have.
We had the Hubby's brother and his wife over for Thanksgiving weekend, as well as a family we are good friends with for Thanksgiving dinner. It was excellent, if I might say so myself. I love cooking for Thanksgiving dinner, even though it is over almost before it begins! Scamper is at the far end of the table, hiding while I take the picture. Serious cooperation happening here!
My two pies I am mighty proud of! It was my first time making a lattice crust. Thank goodness for Betty Crocker!
We saw the Christmas lights at the temple. There aren't many trees to put lights on, besides palm trees, so there were lights on the ground and other creative places. They were sure beautiful. Baby J was squealing with delight the whole time we were there.
To the Hubby's delight, this was our first year to get a real Christmas tree! And we had lots of extra help decorating it. It sure is a beauty! :)
We are so excited for the holidays!
