A Seamstress in the Making?

I would not consider myself someone who can sew, but I have always wanted to. My sewing has always consisted of straight lines only. I can sew baby bibs and that is all. But my mother is amazing. She used to make all of our clothes when we were kids, and she made my wedding dress and flower girl dresses. Since I was home for so long, I decided that she needed to teach me to sew. I decided to sew an apron, since my friend Brittany had an apron swap a while back. I couldn't go because I don't live by her anymore, but I still wanted an apron. After I picked out my fabric, my mother told me what to do and I did it. Here I am cutting.
And sewing.
And wearing the finished project. The straps are pink, so they blend in with my shirt. But I am so excited. I have something to wear when I cook, and it makes me happy: it has Snow White on it, I sewed it myself, and it reminds me of how wonderful and talented my mother is!

Adorable! Wendy gave me my very first apron for my birthday and I LOVE it. (I always wanted one like your Grandma's though - with a towel attached. Maybe one day Davis will make me one :) He's a great seamster!)I love the picture of you sewing with Troy by your leg! It's a perfect mommy-in-action picture.
