Pumpkin Patch

Well, our first trip to the pumpkin patch wasn't exactly how I had imagined it. First, the website said the patch was free--but not so! It was $4 each (not Scamper of course). But we drove for 20 minutes, so we decided to go in. Since there were animals, we thought it would make it more worthwhile. After seeing the animals, we rode a truck to the actual patch. When we got there, the driver told us that the patch was hit really bad with the squash bug this year, so there weren't many pumpkins in the patch. But they did purchase some from the store that we could choose from. Lame! Why didn't they tell us that before we paid to get in? But I guess we did get some cute pictures. Scamper in the middle of the purchased pumpkins!
Doesn't he look thrilled?

Scamper and his pumpkin.

He did have a good time. This is our only picture to prove it.

Here is a horse trying to eat Scamper's shoe, and he doesn't even seem to notice. He just loves watching what is going on around him.

I'm glad he had a good time, even if you did have to pay to see a bunch of pumpkins that they bought and stuck in the middle of a field! Animals are always fun for the kiddos!

Very cute pictures. And you have a funny story as well. What a crazy pumpkin patch, without pumpkins. However, you pictures turned out great. There is nothing better than pumpkin patch pictures. I love all the colors. I also love the picture of the horse eating scamper's shoe--very fun!

Man, he really is mellow. He looks like he is completely unphased by anything. That will be so nice as he gets older.

What a funny story... a pumpkin patch buying pumpkins to sell. Who would have thought.
