Just about 10 minutes from our house is Snow Canyon State Park. So we took a quick trip up the canyon with some friends on Saturday. 
Here is a little slot canyon we hiked to. It was prettier than the picture--I couldn't keep it from going so dark.

Scamper threw a huge fit (which I can't recall him ever doing before) when it was time to leave. But he was just so cute while we were there. Completely entertained!
He didn't even seem to mind when I set him down and then ran off to take a picture from far away.
Luckily he wasn't interested in eating the sand--just playing.
And occasionally we catch glimpses that he is actually enjoying himself!

I wish my kid was as cute as yours!
It looks so funny to have him bundled up and playing in the sand. :) How fun to have a cool place so close!
