Rest In Peace

So here it is! Our new car seat. This thing is HUGE! Many of you might not know that I was rear-ended about a month ago. My car got fixed right away, but the insurance company put up quite a fight about buying a new car seat. I guess they think the damage wasn't substantial enough. Well after reading my owner's manual (that says to throw out the car seat and base in ANY kind of accident) I decided to stand my ground. Finally they gave in and agreed to pay for a new car seat. It just arrived yesterday.

Since Scamper isn't a year old yet, it has to be rear-facing. So, basically The Hubby can't drive anymore, because the seat has to be so far forward. My Jetta is pretty small. But it will only be for a little over a month, and then we can switch him (I am almost positive he will be 22 lbs by then--he is so close right now). Anyway, Scamper isn't quite sure he likes the switch yet.
Well, here is goodbye to our first car seat. May it rest in peace! I can't believe I am going to throw it in the garbage. Weird! The saddest part is that it matches my stroller. I guess child number 2 (if I ever decide I can handle more than 1) won't be as stylish.

That is so sad about being rear ended and losing your car seat! I'm most sad that your hubby is going to be so uncomfortable driving your car! That's too bad.

PS Good looking blog YO!

Wow! That carseat looks like it's headed for the mother ship! It's huge!

By the way, I really do think 2 is SO much easier than 1, at least when they are toddlers and above. They entertain each other. It's fabulous.

I'm so sorry about the car wreck. Good for you sticking up to the car insurance company. I loved switching Lizzie to a front facing seat. It allowed the kids to be so much more interactive with you.

He is such a cute kid.

Where'd you end up getting it? That's nice that the insurance company paid for it... So far Lukas is liking being more upright in his new seat - I think it makes it easier to see out the windows. Hopefully Scamper will like it too!
